The SLO County Jazz Federation proudly presents its annual Young Jazz Scholarship winners! We hope you will help us guarantee that there is support for young talent in our area by attending and appreciating this year’s winners of the Young Jazz Showcase competition.
2014 winners, drawn from local high schools, Cuesta and Cal Poly, are:
Cuesta College: Sean Collins (drums) and Katie Holt (vocals)
Cal Poly: Vito DiNovi (guitar)
The concert is scheduled for March 9 at 4 p.m. at Steynberg Gallery–1531 Monterey/SLO, and is sponsored by the Matthew Taylor Memorial Scholarship Trust. An outstanding professional rhythm section will be backing the performers and admission is free, but donations are greatly appreciated.
