The SLO County Jazz Federation was thrilled to present the Bill Mays Trio in concert on Saturday January 11th at 7:30 pm. Bill Mays is a masterful pianist as well as a prolific composer and arranger. He has worked extensively with numerous jazz legends including Sarah Vaughan, Phil Woods, Benny Golson, Red Mitchell, Gerry Mulligan and Frank Sinatra (to name a few). After a lengthy tenure in Los Angeles working in the Hollywood recording studios, he relocated to New York City in 1984 and has played with numerous top jazz artists at all the major venues. His NYC based trio includes Dean Johnson on bass and Ron Vincent on drums.The show was at 7:30 (with doors opening at 7:00). Tickets are priced at $35 for general admission, $25 for Jazz Federation members and $10 for students and can be purchased at my805tix.com or at the door. Mt.
